Motorola on Tuesday tweeted that the old Moto X, which was launched in 2013, is now available at a price of
Rs.17,999. The device was launched in India earlier this year at a price of
Rs.23,999. It is only available at Flipkart, which is Motorola's retail partner in India.
The move is obviously aimed at clearing the stock of the old Moto X, considering the new one is already out. The new Moto X went on sale in India in the last week of September at a price of
Rs.31,999.
The old Moto X is powered by a speedy dual-core processor and has a 10-megapixel camera. It has a 4.7-inch screen with 720P resolution. While the specifications do not look very impressive on the paper, the phone offers fantastic Android experience due to its stock Android software and ergonomic design. The device will also be among the first phones to get Android L, the next version of the OS, when it becomes available in the coming weeks.
In fact, the old Moto X experience is so good that in our phone buying guide for September and October we gave it a prime position in the price range of
Rs.20,000 to
Rs.25,000.
